St. Mark's offers many opportunities for ministry within Parish Life.
Members of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) host receptions for weddings and funerals. The Health & Healing Commission includes Connections, Intercessory Prayer, the Pastoral Care Committee and the Pastoral Emergency Phone (PEP) team. Pam Cartmel and Nancy Miles, our Parish Nurses, and members of Health and Healing are incredibly supportive and caring. We offer prayers for one another – on Sunday mornings and the weekdays in between. Eucharistic Visitors take communion out to the sick and homebound, while others send them notes or altar flowers…
There are, of course, many organized expressions of care within the parish. Furthermore, Father Jed responds in times of crisis – and the Pastoral Emergency Phone was begun in recent years to make sure there’s ALWAYS someone to call in times of urgent need. If you need to reach someone outside of normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am to 3 pm), call 541-778-3305 and someone will be there to help.
