What to Expect

Welcome to St. Mark's Episcopal Church,
the Episcopal Church in Medford, Oregon!

PLEASE NOTE: During the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are recommended for those who are unable to be vaccinated or who are immunocompromised. Masks, in general, are optional. Masks are available at the door. If you feel ill, please remain at home and watch our YouTube or Facebook live stream. Thank you for helping to keep yourself and our congregation safe!

When you visit our church for the first time, it is likely to be either for Sunday morning worship or one of our many mid-week outreach or social events. If you come during the week, expect a very low-key, informal, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are a client of our Food Pantry, interested in participating in our weekly potluck and book group, or here for another program or event, you are welcome here!

If you visit us on Sunday morning, you will find a more contemplative service of Holy Eucharist (otherwise known as Communion) with Music at 8 am. At 10 am, we adopt a somewhat more traditional form of worship, with Holy Eucharist and Music. All those who are baptized are welcome to receive both the bread and the wine. If you are not baptized, you are welcome to receive a blessing and encouraged to see the Rector about being baptized.

Most of all, St. Mark's seeks to combine a more formal, liturgical worship style with a laid-back and informal welcome and way of being. Whoever you are and wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here!
